Chi Chi Tilly Dress + HK Quad Weft ♥

I love a bright party dress! Not that I’m a party queen or anything, but I like to pretend sometimes. I recently got to pick a party dress from Chi Chi, who do the most amazing special occasion dresses! I chose the Tilly dress because when I first saw it I thought the colours were gorgeous and not shades I usually wear. I tend to stick to pastels rather than brights, but I also never wear strapless dresses! So I took the plunge and picked this amazing dress.
I thought the graphic print originally was just roses, but if you look really closely, it’s actually printed with lipsticks and nail polish?! It’s kind of cool though… it’s like a little hidden message. The message being ‘I love florals, cosmetics, and nail polish’. I really adore the fit of this dress. I was worried it would be too small for me, but as I’m not very busty, it fits just fine in my normal size. I really like the sweetheart shaped neckline; because then I can pretend I have cleavage!

The dress also has a purple contrasting waistband to slim you around the middle, and then a big flouncy netted skirt. I used to have the perfect purple wedge heels which would have looked amazing with this dress, but I recently sold them.. boo! But black heels would go well enough I think!

Because the dress is strapless and I don’t like having my fleshy top half on show too much, I found the perfect way to disguise those bits. I think wearing long hair extensions helps me to feel less self conscious when I’m wearing sleeveless/strapless dresses. Long hair kind of covers you up a little bit more. In these photos I’m wearing my new HK Full Head hair extensions that I was sent from Dirty Looks.
I wasn’t sure what shade to get but I picked Iced Coffee and it’s perfect for me! My hair is a bit of a weird reddy/brown shade so I didn’t think I’d find a shade so well suited. The full set of extensions includes a quad weft which I find is really easy to put in, even on mornings when I’m in a hurry but want to glam up a bit; you simply just clip it in! You can just treat them the same as your own hair too, so I curled the extensions using my Remington waving wand as normal. Also the hair is so soft! I like swishing it around pretending I’m The Little Mermaid.

I think the stunning jewellery from Addicted Diamonds would look perfect with this outfit. They do a range of gorgeous jewellery that is actually made and designed
in London. Their Vine Collection has been inspired by entwining vines
that flourish together as one to represent growth and strength. Each
item is then finished off with a fine quality sparkling diamond. The blue and purple shades in their pieces would suit this dress perfectly!

That dress is amazing! At first, I thought it was simply a really gorgeous floral print, so after I read through your post, I had to scroll down to examine the print again. That lipstick and nail polish fit in with the floral pattern so well, I didn't even notice them until you pointed it out! And I love it. It's so unique. Pastels are best, in my opinion, but mixing it up sometimes with bright, fun colors is fantastic too! You look amazing. 🙂
