Julie Dodsworth for Barbour – Floral Print Polo ♥

So it seems like the sunshine has abandoned us this weekend! Boo hoo! The Bank Holiday weekend has been a bit of a wash out (again) although luckily I didn’t really have any plans for the weather to ruin. I went out on Friday night and again last night, so I spent the rest of the weekend relaxing at home and tidying up. Although I did make a quick trip to the retail park on Sunday, so here is what I wore…

It was a bit chilly outside so I wore my new Laura Ashley quilted jacket that I bought in their sale a few weeks ago. It’s ideal as a spring time layer as it’s not too thick but is showerproof and protects me from the cold winds. I wore it with my new Barbour Avalon polo shirt from their British Waterways Collection. It’s been designed by Yorkshire based designer Julie Dodsworth, the the Waterways Collection is a feminine range featuring floral prints inspired by Julie’s love of Britain’s canals and rivers.

If I’m honest I’ve never worn a polo shirt before in my life except for at school. I wasn’t really sure how to wear it as I don’t usually wear t-shirts either, but I decided to keep it simple with a textured skater skirt from H&M. I thought the floral print on the polo went well with the burgundy colour of the skirt, and I also wore my matching ballet pumps too. The polo has five branded buttons to fasten, and also the Barbour logo discreetly embroidered on the chest. It’s 100% cotton and really comfortable to wear, I think I’ll need to start getting more polo tops into my casual wardrobe!

I teamed the country bumpkin styled outfit with my Barbour Leather Cartridge bag which looks quite large, but it’s so rigid and the opening is small so it’s actually hard to get much in there! But I guess it wasn’t designed to necessarily be a ladies handbag. It’s got a gorgeous tartan lining inside and is made from a really durable leather. I’m becoming a big of a Barbour collector I think! Check out my cringey posey photos…

I love polo shirts for days when you want your boobs to look bigger! Hahahahaha. For some reason they make y'all like Pamela Anderson.
