Floral Print Voodoo Vixen Dress ♥

I’ve been really excited to do this blog post and show you this amazing dress that I was sent from Voodoo Vixen! Voodoo Vixen is a vintage inspired label, which combines retro, pin-up and rockabilly styles, and their pieces are designed to compliment curves. They currently stock from size XS up to a size XL and from later this they will  be launching a plus-size collection up to a size 4XL! So they pretty much cater for everybody, and their gorgeous custom prints are designed in-house in both London and Los Angeles.

They have just released some gorgeous new pieces (check out this adorable ladybird set as worn by the beautiful Megan) and they have so many pretty designs on their clothing. I chose the Angie dress, which is a summer dress made in a light cotton, and the pattern is just lovely! It’s very Cath Kidston style, which of course I love, with a light blue background and all over floral print. The dress features a ruched waist which helps nip you in, and a just-above-knee length flared skirt. This dress is probably designed for those with a bigger bust as the top half was a little bit loose for me, but I bet this would look amazing on a bustier figure! I still love it though, I love the beautiful colours and I think it would be perfect for a summer garden party or even a wedding.

In these outfit photos I combined the dress with my new Alicia satchel bag from Nica, and some fun wedges from Dolcis. Nica do some really nice bags, and I absolutely love this satchel, it’s the perfect size and shape for what I need, and it has so many pockets and different compartments! It even has a mirror inside.. how cool is that?! And I love the pretty aqua green colour, it’s a lovely shade for summer. The wedge shoes from Dolcis are surprisingly comfortable for how high they are! I’m not really much of a high heel wearer, but I can just about manage wedges. These have a soft rubbery sole which makes them nice and easy for me to walk in, and the elasticated strap ensures they stay secure on my feet. The wedges have a white upper with a tan trim and a printed basket weave wedge heel. Sorry for all the posey photos.. I just really wanted to show the dress off!
