So with Fathers Day coming up soon, I thought I’d do a little post with a couple of nice ideas for Dads. My Dad usually likes a subscription to a car magazine and a Toblerone for Fathers Day, but I’ve kindly been gifted a couple of extras this year! These would also make great gifts for boyfriends/husbands etc for birthdays and anniversaries. I know my Liam would love this bag for his weekend travels! If your Dad is keen on fishing, then click here now to see some awesome gift ideas!
The bag is a very stylish canvas holdall bag (£69.99) by Mango from House of Fraser. It’s a new release but it seems it was so popular it must have flown off the shelves as it now appears to be out of stock! It’s a smart khaki colour, with tan faux leather adjustable straps. It also has twin top handles, a detachable long strap, a top zip fastening and an inside zip pocket. There’s also a little appliqued leather logo patch on the inside too! The bag is absolutely huge.. it’s literally massive! It would be perfect for long weekends or trips away, you can get loads in it! It looks very on trend and stylish, I’m sure any male would love this as a gift.
I don’t think men often buy fragrance for themselves, which is why I think aftershave is the perfect present for any man in your life. Who doesn’t want to smell amazing?! Personally I love perfumes and I have so many, so I also quite like shopping for mens fragrances. I was interested in trying some new mens fragrances as gifts, and I was kindly sent two bottles from Fragrance Direct.
I received the Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Summer 2014 mens eau de toilette spray. I love the JPG fragrance for men, although I’m not too keen on the ladies version. It’s a classic fragrance, and the summer version has a bit of a twist to it, as it’s slightly fresher and lighter for summer. I love the bottle, which is shaped as a mans torso and decorated with illustrations of an anchor, rope, and octopus. I love the nautical trend!
I also received the Paco Rabanne Invictus Gift Set which comes in a metal gift box and it includes a 50ml eau de toilette spray and a 100ml shower gel. I love these types of sets as they make such a lovely gift, and are often the same price as the fragrance alone, but you get a freebie and a nice box to present it in. I’d not tried this fragrance from Paco Rabanne before, and I was really impressed with it, I think my Dad would love it! It’s a really masculine clean and fresh fragrance, and it features mandarin orange, grapefruit and sea notes. The bottle is trophy shaped with a chunky silver top, although I think prefer the sleek JPG bottle!
