Nautical Louche Dress & Babycham Shoes♥

I’ve not done an outfit post in what feels like forever (4 weeks ago!), just because I’ve been so crazy busy lately that I’ve not had much of a chance to get in front of the camera. Also, I’m beginning to think I’m getting a little bit too old and chubby to be a ‘fashion and beauty blogger’ these days, so I’m thinking of moving my blog more along the travel/food/lifestyle route. I did my degree at university in tourism and I’m still looking for my first proper graduate job. So I might as well develop my little hobby blog into something that could help me career-wise. Anyway.. it’s just something I’ve been thinking about, we’ll see what happens!

I’ve been meaning to show you this outfit for a while now. I received these shoes from Babycham ages ago, but I’d only recently found the perfect dress to pair them with. I picked up this sailor style dress from eBay for £8 from one of my favourite boutique brands Louche. It’s an old season one from a few years ago so unfortunately it’s not longer available to purchase. But I love the shape and fit of it, and the adorable sailor collar knot at the front.

It goes perfectly with my peep toe Keisha shoes from Babycham, which are now in the Debenhams sale for only £33 (40% off!). The shoes have a basket weave wedge heel which isn’t one of the ridiculously high ones which means they’re comfortable to wear in the daytime. They have a navy blue canvas upper, which has adorable little anchors printed all over. The front of the shoes have a cute little bow, with an anchor brass button in the centre. The soles of the shoes are a bright red, and the lining of the shoes features the cute little Babycham deer! I love this outfit, and it’s easy to accessorize with anchor jewellery, which I seem to have a lot of, including my gorgeous Muru necklace.
