I’ve just realised I’ve not done a blog post on the cakes that I make for a few months. In case you didn’t already know, I have a little cake business Victoria’s Vintage Cakes, which I try to run in my spare time. It can be a bit difficult as I work full time, but I often take orders for weekends or I can do small orders during the week sometimes.
I’m not a sugarcraft pro so I don’t charge huge amounts and I don’t make much money from it, but it’s something I enjoy doing in my spare time. And selling cakes to other people is better than me scoffing cakes myself! I like practising new cake decorating skills too; practice makes perfect! Here’s some of the cake orders I’ve done recently:
I made this heart shaped pink princess birthday cake for a girls 4th birthday party.
I made these personalised pink cupcakes for a hen party, which featured little pink willies and L plates! I also made a small pink buttercream cake for another princess’s birthday.
Someone ordered a box of cupcakes for her sisters 30th birthday. She wanted them to be in a vintage tea party theme in pretty pastel colours, and so I used various moulds and cutters to create these cakes. Possibly my favourite cupcakes ever!
I made this massive pink buttercream cake for another little girl for her 2nd birthday, and a chocolate one for a birthday.
These cupcakes were ordered by some colleagues of a lady who was leaving for her maternity leave. The gender of the baby was unknown, therefore I used both pink and blue icing decorations with a baby theme, and polka dot cases.
I made this heart shaped Victoria sponge cake for my boyfriends Liams birthday in June, filled with vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam.
I made these colourful cupcakes for a event at work to raise some money for charity. The little blue cake for for a 4 year olds birthday to share to his nursery.
And finally, I made these cupcakes ages ago, I think for Mothers Day!
