Whilst browsing the internet for online cakey photos (a regular occurrence for me), I stumbled across Baker Days. They are a relatively new company that can create a cake that’s completely unique and personalised. These are then delivered to your door, and can even go through your letter box!
Baker Days kindly sent me and a few other bloggers their own
personalised cake to try! I made my design and then sent it over to
them, not knowing what to expect. I decided to make my design fit in
with my blog theme as I thought it would look nice with some cute
illustrations on it that mean something to me. But there are loads of designs and personalisation to choose from, and you can also upload your own photos and designs.

The cake I received is a letterbox gift cake,which fits right through your letter box! Although my postman did decide to ring the doorbell anyway rather than put it through my letter box… It comes in a lovely little gift tin which gives it a really nice touch! It’s great for storing goodies in after too!
I was surprised how well the design came out! Even though the illustrations on the design were quite dainty and fine, they came out really nicely. They look a little blurred in the photos, but that’s a combination of my camera not being the best and also the print of course not being 100% perfect! Printing onto icing is notoriously difficult. The design is printed directly onto the icing rather than having a sheet of yukky rice paper. And you can have your design stretch around the sides too! It also came on a really nice iced cake board with a little bit of a pattern around the edge.
The cake I had was a Madeira sponge cake which was really delicious, although I would have loved it if it had some buttercream or jam! It was lovely and soft and overall I was really happy with the cake! Thanks Baker Days! You can buy a letterbox cake for £14.99 or larger sizes from Baker Days for any occasion.
