Last month we went on a little romantic break to The Cotswolds which is one of my favourite places in the whole world! There are so many quintessentially English little tea rooms and country pubs – I just love it! It’s the perfect place to go for a nice little weekend away. In one of the towns we visited called Stow-on-the-Wold, we popped into a lovely antique shop called Tara Antique Centre on the market square. I love browsing antique shops and looking at all the old interior accessories and vintage decorative furnishings and dreaming about how I could make…

I have some exciting news! Earlier this year I put my flat up for sale and accepted an offer from a young couple looking to buy their first home. Which also means that I’m (hopefully..) buying new house! If you’ve been following my blog for a while then you’ll remember that back in 2017 I moved out of my parents house and into my own place which I spent lots of time doing up and making my own. Last month we spent the weekend in the quaint little market town of Woodstock in Oxfordshire. We were invited to stay at The Feathers Hotel which is a 17th century town house which has been turned into a charming boutique hotel. The historic town of Woodstock is also home to Blenheim Palace which is a short walk down the road from The Feathers…

We were so lucky that the day we visited was the hottest weekend of the year so we chose to sit outside so we could enjoy the beautiful sunshine! The pub features a mix of contemporary and traditional décor which brings the outdoors indoors with lots of stylish tropical accents, plant features and fancy accessories throughout the interior. There is a variety of different places to sit, but my favourite part of the restaurant…

It’s been in my dressing room for 18 months with bare, raw wood and heavy metal drawer pulls. I quite liked the natural finish, but it didn’t really fit in with the rest of the decor. I decided to give it a lick…
