We’re very near to completing on the purchase of our new house and we’re so excited to finally get the keys after waiting all these months! One of the things that we’re most looking forward to is having our own garden, as at the moment in the flat we have no outside space at all. We can’t wait to be able to use our new sun loungers in our very own (south facing!) garden. TJ Hughes recently sent me their Valencia duo set which includes two comfy relaxer chairs with built-in head rests and a handy small table with two…

Moving out of my parents house for the first time was a big step for me but I’m proud of how well I’ve managed. If anything, life is much simpler! And quieter.. I love how peaceful my new home is despite it being in a more central location and my parents house was in a sleepy village. I’ve already shared with you my bedroom and kitchen room tours, so this is the dining room edition! Going out for a tasty afternoon tea in a cute little tea room or glamorous hotel is one of my favourite pastimes. But most places charge at least £20 each (or in excess of £30 each in London!), so it can add up to be a slightly expensive experience. However I am a big fan of throwing my own afternoon tea parties at home. Any excuse for a tea party and I’m on it; baby shower, birthday celebration, a girlie catch up with friends… anything that calls for cake! There are so many benefits to throwing your own afternoon tea…

Last month I invited a few of my friends over for another one of my tea parties! This one was a little bit different though, as I decided to have a tropical themed tea party to celebrate summer and the amazing heatwave that we were experiencing! I’m sad that the heatwave is now over… So instead of stuffing our faces with sandwiches, cakes, and scones, I came up with a more summery themed menu as I wanted to try something a little bit different to my usual. Gone were the floral vintage tea cups and fancy silver cutlery, and in…
