Sorry it’s been two weeks since my last blog post and I’ve been a little bit quiet; life has taken quite a turn lately and I’ve been struggling to get motivated if I’m honest. However, I am now trying to end my invite only pity party so I’m pushing through with my latest blog post! BHS may not be the first place you think of to buy stylish homewares, but they do have a very impressive range of house goodies and they’ve recently collaborated with (my fav) Holly Willoughby on a vintage chic range. They have some really pretty pieces…

Last weekend I held a little tea party for my family at home in our dining room. My Mum and I spent the day before preparing some food and bits for the table, including scones, lemon drizzle cake, jelly, Easter shaped chocolates, chocolate nest cakes, and plenty of sandwiches! I absolutely love making lemon cake in the spring time, I think it’s so refreshing in the sunshine and it looked so pretty presented on my pink glass cake stand. To make the chocolates I used a bunny rabbit and Easter egg silicone mould that I bought from the 99p store,…

I was recently invited to take part in a creative blogger challenge with housing and regeneration specialists Keepmoat to create an affordable DIY home project. With a budget of £50 to come up with something inspiring and imaginative, I started thinking about what I could create right away. It’s been a week since my last blog post which is possibly my longest blog break ever! I usually try to get posts up every few days but I’ve been crazy busy lately with starting my new job and Christmas etc. And best of all, Liam came home from being in Africa for 3 months on New Years Eve, and we had an amazing week away in a cosy cottage with just the two of us. So I’ve not been online much and have been living the quiet life for the last week! But I was back to work again…

I’m not quite finished with all my Christmassy blog posts just yet! I wanted to show you all of my decorations and pretty festive things that we’ve got up around the house. We put your Christmas tree up the first weekend of December, but I kept on adding to it as I kept on buying new things.. oops! It’s finally finished now and I’m so happy with it. I think it looks much better than last years (although I’ve lost my favourite gingerbread man decoration!) and it’s really full and mostly coordinating with the Nordic red and white theme. All…

Now I’m going to let the photos do most of the talking here, but a couple of weekends ago we had a little family tea party. Not for any particular special occasion, just because I felt like doing something special and getting all my nice china out. I have a beautiful Cath Kidston provence rose design tea set that I won many years ago. It was my second ever comp win! But I’ve never got round to using it before, and it seemed silly having something so pretty and it being unused. So I got out my Cath Kidston tea…
