Dressing Room Additions ♥

It’s been a week since my last blog post which is possibly my longest blog break ever! I usually try to get posts up every few days but I’ve been crazy busy lately with starting my new job and Christmas etc. And best of all, Liam came home from being in Africa for 3 months on New Years Eve, and we had an amazing week away in a cosy cottage with just the two of us. So I’ve not been online much and have been living the quiet life for the last week! But I was back to work again today, so back to blogging too.
This post is a bit of an update really on the new bits and pieces I have accumulated in my dressing room. I’m surprised actually how much use I get out of the room, as I thought when I first ‘built’ it, it would mainly be used as a storage cave. It’s become my blogging room too now, as I take almost all of my photos in there, and I keep most of my things to blog in my Victorias Vintage wooden crate  ready for the weekend photos! I keep all my ‘nice’ shoes and dresses in there too.

I recently announced I was one of the judges for the Roberts Radio Instagram competition, and all of the lucky winners have now been chosen. I chose this lovely photo from Laura as one of the winners! The prize was one of these gorgeous little mini revival radios, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on a cream one for myself! It’s so cute and dainty, and I can’t decide whether to keep this one in my bedroom or dressing room.

I’ve taken to buying lots of fresh flowers lately to put in cute little jug vases. I just buy them from the supermarket as a little pick me up, they’re only a few quid for each bunch. But this bunch of roses I received from my friend and they lasted almost two weeks! I was amazed! This floral print jug is from Dunelm and is only £5.59; it’s perfect for a little bouquet of flowers to brighten up a room.

I recently received these new curtains from BHS to put up in my dressing room. The duck egg blue bird print design goes perfectly with the wallpaper, and they fit the little window just right. I probably couldn’t have picked a pair of better suited curtains for the room, they’re exactly what I needed! They were easy to put up too, I managed it all by myself!

This amazing vintage style telephone is the final new addition to my dressing room. I received it from PMC Telecom, and they do a range of vintage style and replica telephones. It’s called the GPO 1922 pearl telephone and is a classic early 20th century design.
I think it looks great as a decorative piece, but it’s also actually great as a nice simple phone (obviously)! I don’t often use our landline as we have a horrible cordless one that I hate. With this, there’s no dying battery or lost-phone-down-the -side-of-the-sofa situation to worry about. It’s so easy to set up and it’s also got a super loud retro ringer!
