Christmas at Home ♥

Happy Christmas Eve everyone! 🙂 I thought that today I would share with you some of my Christmassy decorations around the house. I live at home with my parents still, but I take on most of the home decor side of things! When I was a teenager I was obsessed with pink so the Christmas tree decorations were all pink. It’s all been toned down now, but we haven’t actually bought many new decorations so we don’t have much of a theme going on with the tree this year!

We have our tree in the corner of our living room, where we also have a big real fireplace full of coal and logs which is so nice to have on over Christmas! Merlin loves sitting on the rug in front of the fire 🙂 The fireplace is a really nice centre piece to have, and we hang some decorations over the mantelpiece too.

On Christmas morning Mum makes us croissants for breakfast, and then my big sister, her partner, my 4 month old nephew, and 8 year old niece will be coming over! Christmas is always much more fun with kids about. We will relax with the fire on, opening pressies, and then it’s lunch time! My Mum makes the best roasts ever. This year we’re having roast beef (my favourite!) because none of us actually like turkey, and chicken is a bit boring. I can’t wait.. nom nom! We’ve got a tonne of options for dessert: strawberry Eaton Mess, Christmas pudding, profiteroles, Christmas cake, and homemade apple crumble! All with the option of custard, whipped cream, or ice cream! Delicious! On Boxing Day my Mum makes an amazing buffet of snacks which is definately one of the highlights of my Christmas each year! I will be sure to take lots of photos!

For now, here are a few photos of our Christmas decorations and bits at home.

I bought the following three decorations half price from Wilko’s last week! The crystal was 50p, snowflake I think was also 50p, and the amazingly cute gingerbread man was 90p! The rest of the decorations are quite old that we’ve collected over the years. We’re going to buy some more in the Christnas sales for next year!

I love this gingerbread house tea light candle holder! I’ve seen a few other bloggers with it, it’s from Poundland! It’s sooo cute! I love the way the smoke comes out from the chimney and the light comes from the windows. So adorable!

Mum likes to have a nativity scene!

I bought this advent calendar on 1st December for only 10p from Lidl 🙂 I wasn’t going to get one but I couldn’t resist it at that price could I?!
