V&A Floral Duvet Set & Kirstie Allsopp Cushions from Palmers ♥

If you love my home and interior blog posts then you should enjoy this one! I was really excited when I received a parcel full of gorgeous home goodies from Palmers Department Store. They’d offered to send me a few items to review and I’d forgotten all about it until it was delivered. I was offered some things from the V&A collection, and Kirstie Allsopp.

Palmers is an independent family run business that has outlet stores throughout East Anglia, as well as their online shop. After browsing their lovely website, I picked out a few of my favourite items which were a bedding set from V&A, a couple of Kirstie Allsopp cushions, and some kitchen pieces (which I will show you soon!). 

The V&A bedding collections are created by the Victoria and Albert Museum – the world’s leading art and design museum. Their bed linen combines beautiful historic designs with excellent quality and modern practicality. All royalties from the V&A Bedding Collection are passed onto to the museum, so each purchase contributes to the invaluable work of the V&A Museum. I chose the Forget-Me-Not double duvet cover set (£40), and also a seperate V&A fitted sheet (£11) in blue.

The duvet set has a gorgeous contemporary floral print in bold pinks and blues with lots of leafy green detail. I love these bright colours even though I usually stick to pastels for a country chic feel, I think this is much more modern. The set includes two big Oxford pillow cases, and the reverse of the duvet cover is a cute aqua blue polka dot pattern. It’s just gorgeous to look at and I love it so much! It’s perfect for any girly-girl.

I also picked these Kirstie Allsopp Home Living cushions from Palmers to go with my glamorous new bedding! They’re so cute and ditsy, and a really nice oblong shape. Kirstie Allsopp’s range has her trademark vintage style, and has created a collection which has a modern finish with a twist of homemade charm. I love Kirstie, just this morning I was watching Kirsties Homemade Christmas!

Firstly there’s her ‘Polly’ cushion (£15) which has a lovely traditional bicycle embroidered onto it, complete with real sewn on buttons. I really love the simple but pretty design on this. The cushions come filled and ready to use, and I’ve decided to scatter them on my bed, it looks so cosy now! I’m going to have a good nights sleep tonight!

The second cushion I chose was this adorable ‘Delilah’ cushion. It has a wonderful appliqued design of a row of houses in a street. It’s got floral patchwork fabric detailing, and it’s just so pretty. It also has Home Sweet Home embroidered on the bottom of the cushion. So cute! It goes perfectly with the other cushion and bed set too. It’s such a nice feminine piece and both of the cushions make a centre piece in the room. Cushions are just the perfect finishing touch to create a cosy bedroom!
