If you only bake small batches of cake, then this may not be the product for you, as this beauty is pretty large and has a massive 5 litre stainless steel bowl. I made up a cake mix for about 20 cupcakes and it hardly filled it up at all! I bought my mixer in a country kitchen style almond cream colour, but it also comes in a modern bright red. I really like the design of it, it looks quite 50’s style, and it matches my cream scales, and my kettle and toaster set!
It’s a very powerful appliance, with a 1000 watt motor, and it features a quick release system for the attachment of a variety of accessories: a stirring hook; a dough hook; and a whisk. It also has 10 speeds, and I was a little bit scared to use the top speed as it was so fast I thought it might take off. It’s a pretty loud gadget, but I can’t say I’m surprised, it’s very powerful. Another feature is that is has a clear lid, which my other mixer didn’t have, which should prevent icing sugar flying everywhere when preparing buttercream!
The mixer was very reasonable compared to other brands, at only £87.90 from Hi-fi Tower, but it seems to have sold out the week after I bought mine. However, they have a selection of other stand mixers and cool Christmas gifts! I love my new mixer and it will definitely make my cake baking easier and quicker for me. And isn’t it pretty?

This is so pretty, and it looks massive – perfect for bulk baking! 🙂

Oh my God, thanks for this Victoria! I've been wanting a mixer for ages but the price of KitchenAid is way too much for just baking at home, this is amazing!!
