I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m wild for fruit prints this summer! I don’t know what it is about a colourful fruity pattern on a garment, but it makes me feel instantly cheerful inside! So when I received this gorgeous pineapple print dress courtesty of Rare London, I was excited! It’s my birthday at the end of the month and I plan to wear this out, along with my new lemon slice clutch bag which I think compliments the dress nicely.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I selected the dress, I thought it might be a simple jersey material type dress that can cling to your body in all the wrong places. But luckily when I opened it I realised it’s made from a really nice thick cotton type material, not dissimilar to denim. This means that skims over lumps and bumps quite nicely, and no Spanx required! The dress is midi style, so it comes up to just below my knees. I’m thinking I might shorten it for my birthday, but I’m lazy so I probably won’t actually get round to it!
I’m a big girl these days, so this dress is a size 14, which I think fits me just right because I hate things being too tight and restrictive! I’m not very busty, so I’d happily wear this dress without a bra, which would prevent the bra from peeking through the cut out slit which is just below the chest. The dress also has two slits up either side of the skirt, which I think adds a perfect hint of sexiness to an otherwise fun dress! The high neck style ensures the dress isn’t too revealing, and it is quite a flattering fit, even around the bum!
I bought two new clutch bags recently, a watermelon slice bag and a lemon slice one, both from ASOS. The watermelon one is by New Look and the lemon one is from Monki, and cost £15. It’s now out of stock, but a New Look version is now available for only £9.99.
What do you think of my fruity fun outfit?

Lovely! I had my eye on this bag but it was sold out when I went to order it so thank you for the tip!
I've seen and admired that dress on a few sites, and that bag is gorgeous, so fresh! (I mean fresh in the sense that it is a fruit not a new slang word lol)

That dress is adorable – I love the cut out detailing.
I randomly picked up a pineapple print dress a few months back for some strange reason – I do love it though!
