One Day I Made a Frozen Cake ♥

As the title says really! About a month ago when Liam was away and I was bored one weekend, I decided to build myself a Disney Frozen themed cake for absolutely no reason at all. I’ve never even seen the film, but I had a lot of left over buttercream to use up and some plastic figurines so I set about making it!
It was actually easier than it looks, and I have to admit I’m impressed with it myself! It looks like more time went into it than it did, as it didn’t actually take much time to decorate. It’s only 7 inches, but we only managed to eat about two thirds of it between my family and visitors, as it was very tall! I started by making the cake and then filling with jam and buttercream, and then crumbcoating the cake with a layer of buttercream for the fondant icing to stick to. I then rolled out the blue icing and wrapped it around the edges.

I
then roughly rolled out the white icing and laid it on top which gave a
nice snowy blanket effect! I then simply cut out some snowflake shapes
using plungers and plonked the figurines on top.. voila! I told you it
was simple! I also wrote Frozen in icing letters, and managed to stand a
few snowflakes up on top of the cake too, and then finished it off with
some little sparkly silver balls all over. I was actually really
pleased with how it turned out!
Now I just need to get round to watching the film!
