Dressing Room Tour ♥

Happy Bank Holiday! Apologies for the lack of posts recently, I’ve been pretty busy this past week or so and I’ve just got back from Leeds Fest! I took these photos of my dressing room a few weeks ago and thought it would be nice to do a little ‘room tour’ of my dressing room.

I’ve not done a proper post on my favourite space since we renovated the spare room, but it probably looks familiar I use my dressing room to take almost all of my blog photos. It’s a nice airy space that gets quite a lot of natural light in it, and although it’s only a little room, it’s become my perfect ‘blog station’.

We cleared out the spare room two years ago (you can see what it looked like before the makeover here) after I won a competition with Laura Ashley, which gave me a kick up the bum to sort the room out. We pondered with the idea of getting a small bed with clever storage for the room and making it into a little guest bedroom, but the room is just not big enough (and we rarely have guests anyway).

My prize was a voucher which I used to buy the gorgeous duck egg blue patterned wallpaper and a few pretty accessories. We painted three walls in the same blue shade and ripped up the old carpet which we replaced with Poundland vinyl floor tiles. I also got some cheap wooden furniture from Argos and gave them a lick of white paint and some new crystal knobs, and a few smaller bits of vintage furniture which I upcycled.

Overall it was a relatively low priced room make over.. so here it is now…

  1. I've always loved your room – not a stalker, just a long time reader haha – and I love its Cath Kidston-esque theme. It's all about the details, like the cute ceramic animals and the teacup!
