HQhair Birthday Party #HQbday ♥

Last weekend I attended my first bloggy event in a really long time! I was super excited to be invited along to the HQhair birthday party which was held in the Park Plaza Hotel in Westminster last weekend. I went along with Issy who blogs over at Issy Belle Fox; we used to work together a few years ago in a boring office job but now she’s blogging we can attend fun stuff together!
We hopped on the train from Bedford into St Pancras station and we were very lucky to have been picked up at the other end by a rather snazzy Mercedes courtesy of Blacklane professional drivers.  Blacklane taxis are a five-star service available in central London which is really simple to book online or via their app.  Our driver was really courteous and lovely and helped us to begin the party in style! We even had copies of Hello magazine and newspapers in the back seats!

Before we set off for the party I had a complete breakdown trying to decide what to wear. I made a mass order online from Boohoo but all 6 dresses looked awful on me.  So in the end I made a last minute decision to wear this old Rare London pineapple print dress which I still think is pretty cute, despite being a few years old! I teamed it with a lemon wedge clutch bag and these lace up heels and despite the stresses of outfit picking I felt pretty happy with my final choice.

We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by Sally, Terri and the rest of the lovely HQhair team who organised the whole bash! We arrived a little late so missed out on the welcome drinks but we were treated to some lovely little canapés (salmon and cream cheese and mini burgers.. nom!) and had a great time partying with lots of other bloggers.

I was gutted to have missed my pal Terri’s speech, but I hear it was quite amusing! There was a DJ playing and also a photo booth (my favourite party feature ever!) which I think everyone had plenty of laughs in. We spent a lot of the evening messing around in the booth with various props and tipsy posing. To be honest we had a bit too much wine and spent most of the evening
dancing like fools and then complaining how much my feet hurt, but we
had a fantastic time!

There was also a table full of candy and sweeties, along with a massive tropical coloured HQhair birthday cake. The cake was so good, although I’m not entirely sure what flavour it was, it seemed to be all of the flavours. After a final dance and once my feet had finally given up on me it was time to go, but we were all really lucky to have been treated to an amazing HQhair goody bag!

The team did a great job of putting the goody bag together, and it included loads of fab products! The main one of course being theBalm Nudetude eyeshadow palette which is so pretty I haven’t yet been able to bring myself to use it! I’ve heard great things about theBalm so I’m really excited to finally try them out and I think the colours in the palette are just beautiful.
There was plenty of other goodies filling up the bags too, including a mini Xen-Tan set, Mio liquid yoga spray, bliss Drench ‘n’ Quench Moisturiser, a High Definition foundation blending sponge and lots more. Overall plenty of fab stuff to try out!

Thank you for having us HQhair!
