I had a few days off last week before starting my new job, so on Friday we went to Stratford Upon Avon for a little day out. I’d seen on Twitter that a new cat cafe called Shakespaw Cat Cafe opened its doors in Stratford Upon Avon last month, so I was desperate to visit! You have to book online in advance, but I was lucky to grab a lunchtime spot the day before we were due to visit. Entry is £5 each which you pay when you book, and this allows you 90 minutes in the cafe with all…

Last month I was invited to The Black Horse in Great Linford, Milton Keynes to take an exclusive first look at their newly refurbished restaurant and stunning new interior. The Black Horse (probably one of the most well known pubs in MK) is a premium pub, bar, and restaurant located in an idyllic waterside setting next to the Grand Union Canal. The location is perfect for a refreshing drink, a quick bite to eat, or a delicious Sunday roast. They offer a great selection of pub food with a twist, plus a fantastic range of wines and drinks. I visited The Black…

However I am a big fan of throwing my own afternoon tea parties at home. Any excuse for a tea party and I’m on it; baby shower, birthday celebration, a girlie catch up with friends… anything that calls for cake! There are so many benefits to throwing your own afternoon tea…

I was recently invited to stay at Chicheley Hall, a gorgeous Grade I listed English country house just outside of Milton Keynes. The 18th century Baroque style mansion is home to 48 rooms, a restaurant and a bar all set within 80 acres of beautifully kept grounds. Its secluded countryside location offers the perfect respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Bedroom After checking in at reception we went to find our room, the Cartwright suite, which is part of the original Grade I listed part of the house. The suite is a stunning large room with solid…
