My birthday was on the 30th July but I’ve managed to string my celebrations out for over a whole week! I didn’t do too much on my actual birthday as it was during the week and people were busy, but the weekend before I had a miniature tea party in my garden with my family, including my little niece who loves this kind of thing! It probably sounds a bit corny, and possibly a little bit unusual, but I absolutely love the UK, and there’s nothing better than a sunny day in our beautiful country. We don’t get many nice days, and recently has been a little bit hit and miss, but when the sun is shining, everyone seems to be so much happier and everything appears brighter, and it just makes me smile! I’ve recently been asked to take part in a new competition ran by John Lewis Insurance called What Matters Most. They’re asking people to submit an image of a treasured possession or family heirloom via the website, and then in six words describe why it matters to them. The prize is £500 of John Lewis vouchers, and the competition runs from the 12th-25th of March (launching today!). You can also then share your entry on Twitter using the hashtag #whatmattersmost. If I won the competition I’d definitely be finally treating myself to a lovely new pastel coloured KitchenAid! Click here…
