I made Vintage Tea Party Cupcakes & my new Cake Stand Set ♥

Firstly, sorry for the really photo heavy post! I made these cupcakes last week and I’m super proud of them so I wanted to show them off! It was my first go at doing a few fondant topped cupcakes, some are domed and some are flat. The rest have buttercream rose swirls, and they’re all topped with handmade vintage tea party sugar decorations. I love making the little teacup, cupcake, and teapot decorations because I can use two different icing colours and they blend in nicely. I’m also getting a little bit better at making the pretty bows! I baked the cupcakes in my new pretty floral cupcake cakes from Lakeland, and I also thought it would be a good opportunity to get out my new cake stand set for some photos!
I won this cake stand and three matching teacups from Kiki’s Boutique; the fashion , jewellery and gift store, last month. I actually won a £50 voucher in their Pinterest competition, and I chose these items to spend my voucher on 🙂 The Regency three tier cake stand is £29, and the tea cups are £7 each. They also do matching cake tins which I want! I really love this set because the china actually looks like real vintage, and the tea cups each match a tier of the cake stand. It’s so pretty and dainty! Perfect for photographing with my tea party cupcakes. I’m still getting to grips with my new camera by the way!
