Following on from my pumpkin picking blog post I thought I’d show you what I did with my pumpkins! I wanted to decorate them but not in the usual spooky Halloween way. I wanted them to be pretty and sparkly! I had an idea in my mind that I wanted them to be inspired by Peggy Porschen’s pretty pastel style, so that was what I aimed to achieve, and this is the outcome! Read on to find out how to paint pumpkins for Halloween… There are so many different ways to decorate pumpkins but I decided to paint mine; so…

I’ve already shown you around most of my home and in my last home blog post I shared all of the before and after photos of my flat since I bought and redecorated it. Now I’ve finally got round to taking some photos of the bathroom, so here’s a room tour of my little bathroom! It was probably the room that required the most work doing to it as when I moved in it was in need of a good freshen up, so that’s why I haven’t shared many photos of it yet! We started the mini makeover by cleaning…

Yesterday I invited a couple of friends round for a little get together at my place. Gavin was out for the day so I had planned a girlie day in and a surprise Easter themed craft-ernoon tea party! My friend is pregnant so it was kind of a mini baby shower for her as well as a nice little catch up! So I got the keys to my flat in September 2017 (which already feels like forever ago) and today I came across the original estate agent photos of the place, and I was so surprised by how different it looks now! These are the photos that were on RightMove and I remember when I first saw it I thought it looked okay but perhaps little bit small and in need of a make over, but other than that seemed suitable. The flat was the first (and only!) viewing that I did and although the online photos didn’t do the place…

Welcome to the next part of my new home tour! I’ve already shown you around the kitchen, bedroom, and dining room in my earlier blog posts, so now here’s the living room! This room is probably where I spend most of my spare time when I’m home. I love it because it’s so light and cosy! The large balcony doors let in lots of sunshine and I love snuggling up on our cosy sofa. I’ve been in my flat for over three months now and I’m all settled in and loving having my own place. I thought it would be…

Buying your first home is pretty scary, and one of the things that made me reluctant to start house hunting is that I thought it was going to be an almost impossible process. I’d heard many horror stories about how difficult finding the perfect home can be, and how the whole mortgage application process can be a nightmare. There’s also the risk of things falling through, gazumping, and losing money on all the fees you’ve paid out to solicitors etc. Scary.   I thought I’d share with you my story on how I purchased my first home as it’s something…
